Electronics Recycling: city-by-city guides
Computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and other electronics ("e-waste") can contain lead, mercury, and other hazardous materials, and some states ban them from landfills. The usual options are a city electronics drop-off, a manufacturer take-back program, or a retailer drop-off. Before recycling a device, wipe your personal data from it.
