How to get rid of stuff in Edison, New Jersey

Edison Township's Recycling Center at 745 New Durham Road (Monday–Saturday, 6:30 a.m.–2 p.m., residents only) takes electronics, furniture and mattresses wrapped and sealed in plastic. Homes in the township's municipal garbage districts can also book two bulk special pick-ups a year through Public Works (732-248-7288), plus the spring and fall clean-ups. Paint and household chemicals go to Middlesex County's paint drop-off days and household hazardous waste events.
